KFTD Corruption Prevention – No Gifts and Gratuities in Hari Raya
In managing its business activities, PT Kimia Farma Trading & Distribution (KFTD) continuously strives to be free from bribery and corruption—as well as collusion and nepotism. KFTD also sticks to the principles of Good Corporate Governance to manage the company with trust, transparency, and accountability.
One prominent example of the above commitment is the circular letter correlated to the prohibition of giving gratuities during Hari Raya.
The Law No. 20 of 2021
The underlying law for gratification prevention and control related to Religious Big Days (Hari Raya) in the SOE (state-owned enterprise) Group environment is Law Number 20 of 2021. The law relates to the Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999, dated November 21, 2001, concerning the Eradication of Corruption.
The laws then have been applied in the form of two Circular Letters. The first was the Circular Letter of the Minister of SOEs SE-7/MBU/05/2021, dated May 5, 2021, concerning Corruption Prevention and Gratuity Control related to Hari Raya in the SOE Group.
The second was the Circular Letter of Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) of the Republic of Indonesia No. 09, dated April 11, 2022, concerning Corruption Prevention and Gratuity Control Related Hari Raya.
The Commitment to Prevent Corruption in KFTD
Kimia Farma Group, including KFTD, has followed up the above laws and circular letters by issuing their circular letter for not giving gifts or gratuities, especially during the Hari Raya.
In more detail, the circular letter is addressed to the stakeholders or partners of Kimia Farma Group for not giving gratuities in the form of money, gifts, parcels, as well as other kinds of giving related to their positions.
It is one of the commitments to prevent bribery and corruption in KFTD or other actions that conflict with their duties and obligations. Also, it applies to all personnel and stakeholders, both in the workplace and other places.
Moreover, KFTD has prepared the Guidelines for Gratuity Management/Handling to support their commitment to corruption prevention, which is in line with the Good Corporate Governance principles, Code of Conduct, and the corporation’s cultural values.
